Technical Deepening: Dugraf Workshop on Processes and Techniques
The "Quality Day" workshop, held on August 13, represented a significant step forward in our internal training.
According to Adriano, a technician specializing in Dry Offset, the focus of the event shifted from the technological aspects of plates to a more in-depth approach to the fundamentals of Dry Offset. During the event, the main types of Dry Offset printing were explored, including plastics (jars, tubes and pad printing) and aluminium (cans, aerosols and tubes). Adriano detailed the functionality of the machines, the applicability of plates and blankets in the process of transferring ink to substrates, as well as the characteristics of plate engraving equipment, from conventional to digital HD.
"It was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate in practice how these components interact during printing," commented Adriano.
In the Offset segment, the importance of blanket thickness control to avoid printing problems was highlighted. Miguel, an application technician, conducted additional training on manufacturing and application, as well as essential precautions in the converting process.
"Understanding the impact of each stage on the end result and ensuring that all processes are aligned with quality standards is fundamental," Miguel explained.
Affonso Carvalhaes, New Business Director, also took part, emphasizing the importance of continuous updating and practical learning.

The event concluded with positive feedback from the participants, who are already looking forward to the next workshop.
