Dugraf is featured in the international magazine The Canmaker for its expansion in the metal packaging sector
Dugraf's work in the international market has been highlighted in the renowned magazine The Canmaker, a global reference in the can industry. The article covers Dugraf's trajectory and progress in the metal packaging printing sector, with an emphasis on its recent expansion in Mexico.
The Canmaker
Founded in 1996 in Florianópolis, Dugraf is recognized for its excellence in the production of printing blankets, photopolymer plates and blanket washing systems. With a consolidated presence in the Brazilian market, the company has invested heavily in expanding its presence in Latin America, especially in the dry offset segment.
One of the milestones mentioned in the publication is the opening of the new blanket converting center in Mexico City in July 2024. This structure reinforces Dugraf's commitment to offering Mexican customers the same standard of quality and agility already recognized in Brazil.
According to Affonso Carvalhaes, director of new business, collaboration with major manufacturers such as Continental has been fundamental in setting new standards of efficiency and performance in the sector. Projects carried out with beverage can manufacturers have involved technical tests and compatibility between inks, solvents and plates, with the aim of delivering optimized solutions for large production volumes.
Among the highlights of Dugraf's portfolio are the BCB Advanced and BCB Classic Laserline blankets, which stand out for their durability and solvent-free manufacturing - an important differentiator in terms of performance and sustainability. Dugraf also supplies Toray's Torelief plates, recognized for their excellent ink transfer, print quality and consumption efficiency.
Another point highlighted in the article was Dugraf's technological infrastructure, which includes engraving and plate processing equipment from Dantex's Marathon system. The technology enables high-speed, high-performance digital engraving, processing up to eight plates in just 12 minutes, with superior precision and quality.
For commercial director Thiago Pereira, international visibility and recent investments reaffirm Dugraf's position as one of the main players in Latin America. "We remain focused on expanding our reach in the metal packaging sector, with sustainable, high-performance solutions in line with the demands of the global market," he said.
With almost three decades of experience, Dugraf has established itself as the main reference in Latin America in the supply of solutions for the aluminum can manufacturing segment for beverages and aerosols, offering not only high-performance products, but also specialized technical advice and a commitment to innovation.
