Allow me to share my recent experience at the prestigious international Metpack trade fair in Essen, Germany.
Metpack, which took place from May 2 to 6, 2023, is an extremely important event for the metalworking market. This edition was eagerly awaited, as six years have passed since the previous edition, held in 2017.
It was a unique opportunity to witness the strong presence of the Dugraf Group, representing the renowned Continental Group, as an exhibitor at this world-renowned event. Alongside 313 exhibitors and visited by 6,500 participants, Dugraf reinforced its position of leadership and excellence in the metalworking market.
Metpack is known for bringing together metal offset printing equipment manufacturers, as well as metal packaging equipment manufacturers, customers and users eager for the latest technologies available. It was inspiring to witness the expertise and innovation presented by renowned companies such as Koenig & Bauer, Crabtree of Gateshead, Fuji Kikai, as well as several Asian manufacturers.
Among the various solutions and technologies presented, one point particularly caught my attention: the incessant search by manufacturers of metal offset printing lines for solutions that provide better performance in terms of speed, quality and real-time control of the process. Offset printing lines are becoming increasingly automated, incorporating control systems based on cameras, sensors, densitometers and other closed-loop devices, which allow automatic and precise adjustments.
